introduction

After/time Collective & Gallery is an artist collective, multi-use arts space and gallery in Portland, Oregon. Our community-centered programming includes artist incubators, exhibitions, public programming, and educational resources - forging new anti-capitalistic futures together where care, mutual aid, and collectivism are centered. Our relationship with the arts community is guided by principles of reciprocity and problem-solving to overcome common obstacles working artists encounter. As working artists ourselves, we recognize that the contemporary is no longer present to itself, and artists must navigate within this disrupted time-complex. Based on this recognition, we understand that access is fundamental for ideation and creation within this new context. Our objective is to provide a source for artists to nourish their practices alongside a dedicated group of colleagues..

background

After/time is an artist-run collective that exhibits art of all media from emerging practitioners in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Founded in the midst of the global COVID pandemic in March 2021 as the successor to and next iteration of Third Room Project, the collective includes two current Collective Members: Todd Molinari and Hãsler Gómez. We pool resources, such as time, labor, money, skills, and materials in order to realize our projects. After/time has supported the endeavors of local, national and international artists in exhibitions, performances, artist talks, studio visits, artist residencies/incubations, and collaborations. We actively engage with discourses and collaborations with fellow Oregon artist collectives, makers, and communities.
