Related to but not dependent upon the Exhibitions and the Series, each medium is its own site for exploration of ideas, themes, possibilities and signs. Concrete poetics comes to mind as one of the operative modes of pursuit and interest. Also the question of class structure upon the artist and how he is implicated, socially and politically, whether he likes it or not or is aware of it or not is an important factor in my engagement with any medium. This complicates the choice of this or that medium, because it raises the questions of what is it that I am trying to say or to accomplish. Thus failure and incompleteness are constitutive factors inside and out of the studio where a medium is worked upon.
